The rooms are fully equipped with bathroom, satellite TV, four telephone-computing connecting points, mini-bar fridge and safe. Other services: restaurant, coffee-bar, laundry, newspapers and room service.

The UAB campus is located in Bellaterra, in the municipal area of Cerdanyola del Vallès, about 20 km. far away from downtown Barcelona and 25 km. from Barcelona's El Prat airport. The campus occupies a surface area of 230 hectares and is fully linked to Barcelona and the rest of Catalonia by highway, local roads and bus and train services. The Campus is located in a non-urban area, surrounded by forest; some of the services offered are bars and restaurants, housing, sports facilities, shops, departmental libraries and study centres.
The nearest FGC railway station (Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya) is “Bellaterra”.

How to get to the Campus?

The Campus is integrated in the public transportation system of the Barcelona Metropolitan Area. The motorways AP-7 and C-58 also guarantee good private transportation routes from Barcelona and the main Catalan capitals.

From the airport:

• By bus: there is no public transportation that connects directly with the UAB Campus. You have to take the aerobus in front of your arrival terminal until Catalunya Square (Barcelona), the length of the trip is approximately 30 minutes, and runs from 06.00 am till 00:30 am. The cost of a one-way ticket is about 4,50 €, and about 7,50 € for a round-trip one. Tickets can be bought on the bus.

• By taxi: taxis in Barcelona are black and yellow-colored, can be ordered by phone, picked up at authorized taxi stands or flagged down in the streets. Always check that the meter is running. Taxis should usually be paid in cash though some accept credit cards. The cost from the airport to the UAB Campus is around 50,00/60,00 €.

• By train:
once you are in Catalunya square (Plaça Catalunya) take the FGC train (Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya) direction Sabadell (S2) or direction UAB (S55) and stop at the Universitat Autònoma station. The length of the trip is about 30 minutes. The cost of a one-way trip is 2.05 €. You can also buy a ten-way-trip ticket for 15.40 €. If you are staying at the AUB Campus, please stop at the Bellaterra station.

• By car: The easiest way to arrive to the UAB by car or any other private transportation is by motorway:

- If you are in the motorway C-58, heading Sabadell-Terrasa, take the exit at junction 8, which is connected to the AP-7, heading to Tarragona. Stay on the AP-7 service line for about 1000 meter until you find the junction of the Universitat Autònoma.

How to move inside the UAB Campus: A free bus service communicates with the different buildings within the campus.

Travel within Barcelona:

Barcelona has a good, comprehensive public transportation network. Here are some current prices for buses, metros and local trains: €1.35 for a one-way ticket, €7.70 for a ten-way travelcard, €10.70 for a two-day pass, €15,20 for a three day-pass, €19,50 for a four-day pass and €23.10 for a five-day pass.

Taxis in Barcelona are black and yellow-colored, can be ordered by phone, picked up at authorized taxi stands or flagged down in the streets. Always check that the meter is running. Taxis should usually be paid in cash though some accept credit cards.

Free parking is very limited in Barcelona and car parks are expensive, so car rental is only recommended if you have planned to travel outside the city.
